FAQ'S

When should I have my home staged?

Whether you are planning to sell your home, or if your home has been on the market for some time, now is the time to have it staged!
Having your home professionally staged will give it an edge over other properties for sale.

What kind of background do you need to be a home stager?
Being an Accredited Home Stager is the designation of someone who has trained and studied home staging to be able to create a home with a great emotional appeal to potential buyers.

Do I have to pay a real estate agent and a stager? How does that work?
A real estate agent lists your home for a commission. A home stager typically has a home staging fee based on what your needs are. They work independently to sell your home for the best price, as fast as possible.

Why can’t the Realtor stage my home?
Real estate agents are licensed professionals trained to assist you to sell or buy a home. A home stager is professionally trained to help you prepare your home to sell faster and at a higher price. Real estate agents are not trained home stagers, nor do they have the time to assist you to completely stage your home.

Is staging really worth the investment?
Remember, your investment in Home Staging will always be considerably less than your first price reduction!
Home Staging is a small investment in what is your biggest asset. It’s an investment in your home’s equity. Showing a staged home is much easier and less stressful for the homeowner and Realtor! And when it comes time to move, the organizing and packing have already begun so moving is a much smoother process.

Why can’t I just stage my home myself?
It is difficult to see your home from a staged professionals point of view vs. the way you live in it every day. Having someone who can help you remove the emotional aspect of selling your home from the decluttering part of it is why you hire a home staging professional.

Will I have to store all of my furniture and accessories, and rent new things?
Some clients prefer to do the recommended de-cluttering and packing, but would rather have us do the furniture layout and artistic work.
We’ll work with your existing furniture and accessories first to stage your home. If necessary, we’ll make recommendations to add some decorative touches which can be purchased or rented.

Will I be able to live in my staged home while I’m trying to sell it?
Staged homes typically sell quickly, but regardless of the amount of time it takes we’ll make sure your space is pleasant, liveable and functional!
Lights, flowers, and music are great for showing a home, but that is not staging. Staging professionally enhances a home’s strengths, while minimizing its weaknesses.

I can just watch one of those shows...
We can get great ideas from the DIY networks. However, they do not know your home, your area, or what you are dealing with. An
Accredited Staging Professional will identify your best solution to sell your home faster.
